Good Morning and welcome to ELA2's Blog!! This is my very first post and I'd like to share what my students have worked so hard on so far. Together, we've been tackling the 6 word memoirs. Students are asked to create a 6 word statement, phrase or memoir based on what they like, what they've been through or maybe what they believe in. In the picture above, you can see our collage in the classroom that we've put together.

Examples:

6th GRADE:

Listen to what your mind says
Not quite the life I planned
The memories you will never forget
Act yourself and not like others
Be yourself. Not people around you.
Stand up and DONT back down
The girl with quite the name
Be yourself an you are golden
I always have an exciting life
What to expect when expecting it
I have some bad mischevious ways
Life will give you certain challenges
Insanity is me in a nutshell
Sarcasm is the way I roll
Life your life and be awesome
Be adventurous and take the risk
Never ever back down from obstacles
Help wanted, no deffense, can't play
The way you get into trouble
You will always have that opportunity
If you believe you will succeed
Old stuff always becomes new memories
Be proud of who you are

7th GRADE:

Treasure the little things in life
Brings me back to treasure island
Acknowledge the little things in life
Ideas can create something worth making
A ring that's special to me
Love blood on the dance floor
A snowglobe that I love
Always respect the people you love
Treasure it before it is gone
Remember the little things in life
Stand up for what is right
Real friends are always with you
Live for what you believe in
Don't ever stop believing in yourself
Injuries can change your life forever

8th GRADE:

IF only you told the truth
It all changed in an instant
Don't love only with your eyes

It's like eating cinnabons on Christmas
A thousand words brings thousand's miles
Live and love before it's gone
Success is what smart people crave
Life changed when I became brave
Too much good can be bad.
Is hope all you can get?
A moment can change the game
The story of a brave girl
Moments go quicker than they appear
Sadness is your anger without motivation
I ate poison ivy and died
Every person has their own purpose
Slow and steady wins the race
